This event has been postponed until further notice Tasting With The Winemaker

Interested in how our wines are hand crafted, in El Dorado & Amador County? Then, consider taking a  “Tasting with The Winemaker”  session with Chaim Gur-Arieh from Di Arie Winery.  A fantastic way to experience Di Arie wines, discuss different wine making topics, learn about winemaking techniques and how we craft our wines. Gain an understanding of the Growers and Winemakers in this 2.6 million-acre Sierra Foothills American Viticulture Area (AVA) as you taste through our  different releases.

A few of the topics that Chaim likes to talk about:

  • Varietal Identity of Wines – How to tell the difference between different varieties of wine.
  • The Art of Blending – How does Chaim go about creating blends. He has created about 20 different blends in his 20-year career as a winemaker.
  • Age-Worthy Wines – What happens when wines age and which wines have a better chance of improving with age and which wines decline.
  • Wine & Food Pairing – What makes a wine compatible with a food?
